Asbestos Services raise the bar with Charity Golf Day

2nd November 2015

Asbestos Services UK has raised £3,000 through its first ever charity golf day, with all proceeds being donated to the Roy Castle Lung Foundation.

Over 80 people attended the day at Caldy Golf Club with players from North West construction related businesses from across the North West taking part.

Asbestos Services UK has forged an alliance with the lung cancer charity and has committed to raising £10,000 in the coming 12 months. The Golf Day marked the first in a series of events hosted by the Wirral based firm.

Dave Coleman, Managing Director of Asbestos Services UK said: "The event went incredibly well and was a huge success. People were keen to attend to enjoy the day and network but also to support a really worthy charity. Through the submission fees and the various competitions, we raised a fantastic figure that has helped set us firmly on the path at achieving our £10,000 target figure."

Liz Legge, Fund raising Manger at Roy Castle added: "We're really proud of Dave and his team who worked hard to make this day happen. This is a fantastic figure, particular for their first event and we look forward to working with them over the coming 12 months to help them smash their ambitious target."
