Removal of high risk internal asbestos insulation board ceiling panels

Asbestos Services (UK) were appointed as licenced asbestos removal contractor to carry out removal of high risk internal asbestos insulation board ceiling panels to the boiler plant room area of the factory.


Asbestos Services (UK) were appointed as licenced asbestos removal contractor to carry out removal of high risk internal asbestos insulation board ceiling panels to the boiler plant room area of the factory.

The works were planned as part of a refurbishment scheme to revamp and upgrade the heating systems within the boiler plant room.

A full working enclosure was built externally to the boiler room and attached to the doorway enabling the safe removal of high risk internal asbestos insulation board, with decontamination facilities set up to the adjacent loading area.

The removal process was carried out over a 48 hour period to allow the factory to continue operating its 24 hour day to day operations.
Once again all asbestos insulation board was carefully removed and a full decontaminate clean of the enclosure area prior to UKAS analyst attending to carry out 4 stage air monitoring.

UKAS analyst's confirmed the area was clean and following air testing, clear air certificates of reoccupation were issued and all works were again completed within budget and specified 48 hour period.
